Okay, here comes the rant. If you think for one minute that the fate of Paleo is any different than that of the fat free/low fat craze, I’m afraid that you’re gonna be very disappointed in a few years. We are doing EXACTLY what they did. We are engineering and making foods that fit our little rule list and buying/eating them like there’s no tomorrow. Well, newsflash folks – your body doesn’t know the damn difference between a teaspoon of freaking table sugar and organic, natural coconut sugar. After that sh!t crosses your lips – it’s all the same.
What’s important to remember is that the journey never ends and just because something is working right now and you’re living happily – it doesn’t mean things won’t need to change, even the best places sometimes need a little remodeling, right? The same is true in the health, diet and exercise realm.
We generally all agree health is important and that food plays an important role in it. Food data and clinical evidence have created various diets throughout history.
The more we measure, the more we learn, and the more we evolve our understanding of the critical and underestimated role that food and nutrition play in our well-being.
